SECURITY GATEWAY MODULE (SGM/SGW)
The Security Gateway module (SGM / SGW) is a factory protection in FCA group cars, which limits diagnostic inquiries only to reading e.g. information about the controller, current parameters or fault codes.

SGM BYPASS ADAPTER
With the help of the adapter you gain access to advanced diagnostic commands blocked by SGM, such as: • Erasing fault codes, • Launching tests of actuators, • Launching adaptation and coding. The adapter proves necessary to access 80% of the Chrysler and Fiat models from 2018 and 100% of the models from 2019.

To use the adapter - replace the factory 12pin and 8 pin connectors of the SGM with the adapter connectors. The location of the SGM can vary, but it is most often located in the passenger side panel - near the glove compartment or behind the radio.
